The interior design gurus at My Bespoke Room know a thing or two about styling, and they've spilt the tea on how to make our shades work like a pro.
Why did you choose to use these shades for your TV Ad?
"For the TV ad’s 2D room design, we took some of our customer’s all-time favourite styles and mashed them up to create a truly unique and timeless look. We wanted to blend modern and traditional elements for a classically beautiful but functional space.
We knew COAT Paints sustainable, high-quality paint would create the perfect backdrop for our design. Our Head of Design already had some shades in mind…
The grey-green Nomad paint was used to add depth to the corner space and to create the perfect backdrop for this gallery wall. Nomad paint is like a chameleon, it can adapt to any décor as it's not too bold, but not basic either. It's the Goldilocks of paint colours, always just right.
This subtle shade also pairs perfectly with “Good Intentions”, which we used for the main wall, skirtings and mouldings. This neutral shade isn’t too bold or flashy which means it wasn’t going to overwhelm the space, but it’s just enough to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, supporting and enhancing the beauty of the space without overshadowing it."
How do you style a room around these shades?
Whether you want to create a cosy living space or add some personality to your home, styling a room with Nomad paint in one corner and using Good Intentions as the main backdrop can create a cosy and inviting atmosphere. We suggest leaning into the cosy aspect and adding some texture such as a plush rug, woven throw, or linen curtains. This will bring depth and warmth to the space.
We also recommend using metallic accents like brass or gold to add a touch of glamour to the room. This will also help to balance out the dark green paint.
Add elements of nature into the room with wooden furniture or potted plants. This will help to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere.
Then layer some more neutral colours like white, cream, or beige to help soften the boldness of the green paint. This can be done through throws, pillows, blankets, or artwork.
Speaking of layering! Layer overhead lighting, table lamps, and floor lamps to create a warm glow throughout the space. This will help to highlight the colours in the room and create a snug and welcoming ambience.
Overall, styling a room with dramatic green paint and pale taupe can be a fun and creative process. By following these tips, you can create a space that is both inviting and stylish.
